A few weeks ago, I thought up two simple yet clever ways to carry kydex sheaths. My method turned out to be a big hit at the gathering so I will share them with everyone.
This method allows a 14/11 sheath to be quickly converted between neck carry and tethered pocket carry.
Pass the ends through the bottom eyelets and tie some type of stopper knot at the ends.
To change to pocket carry, fold together the middle of the paracord and pass it through the top eyelet.
The second method attaches a fold-over style BK-9 sheath to your belt in the crossdraw position.
Pass a doubled length of paracord through the top eyelet. Tie the ends with a lanyard knot leaving tails which will aid in pulling the cord through your belt.
Make a loop sized to accept the knot. I used a short run of cobra stitch for this.
Run the knot under your belt and fasten it through the loop. This holds the BK-9 in a perfect crossdraw angle.
Moose seemed to like it.
Derek also tried it with a DPX Heft 4.
