Attachments on knife sheaths

I know there are many members of this forum that make their own sheaths and they are all beautiful pieces of work. I have seen almost everything attached to these sheaths. I am just wondering where do you draw the line on attaching items to a knife sheath.

Now I have recently finished my sheath and added some straps in order to carry my Strike Force firestarter. Personally, I think this is the upper limit of what I would want extra on my sheath.

I like a good pouch to carry some extras like cotton and fishing line. You never know if you will be without your pack

Good job on that sheath. I absolutely agree with you. I don't like the feeling of having three tamborines and a tacklebox on my thigh.

I like to carry everything up to and including the kitchen sink on mine. Love adding stuff to it. Makes it feel more like a kit than a single knife. I think I have kinda hit a wall though, and there isn't any more room for anything, so I have some plans to take some stuff off of it and rework some of my ideas. Hopefully will be able to get that happening sooner rather than later.

I like my ESEE pouch I have mounted on my 2 sheath, but even walking around the house I bump into things with it.

Swedish Fire Steel
EZ Lap Model M diamond rod
Silva "Starter 123" Compass
Steel Mirror
Oval shaped film canister for cotton
About 30' of paracord

Couldn't find a spot for a small flat fixed blade and a couple of other necessities. Needs a bigger knife.

The whole rig wasn't as heavy as I'd thought it would be. Most of the piggyback sheaths I do end up being heavier. I've done a few of these through the years, they are time consuming but a hoot to work like a puzzle trying to get everything on there.

You need to make an attachment for your BK2 sheath to hold the BK3000.

I'm waiting for someone to provide pics of their kids as their sheath attachment, you know, like the teddy-bear backpack leash except the kids strappin' Beckers and a CamelBak.

Personally I'm in a phase of not attaching anything to my sheaths except a firesteel lately. I do however carry a pouch most would attach to the sheath alongside whatever knife is on my hip at the time. I like to attach things via carabiner.

I don't put anything onto a custom leather or Kydex sheath. However, I carry a PSK in an altoids tin on my BK-9.

I'll have to go through my archives and see if I can find a pic of one! :) I hadn't done one in a while, they're a bit expensive.
