Taylor Cutlery bought Schrade. They are now made in China or Taiwan. There was a post on this a while back. These knockoffs aren't even one-piece. The handles are aluminum I believe.

Man, that is terrible.

Schrade went out of business, but the buyer took the name to China and has a line of "new" Schrades confusing the issue now.
