The proposed Boston ordinance "PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING OF STORES THAT SELL CERTAIN KNIVES" is now up for a full hearing and vote. If you are a Boston citizen, please contact your Councilor IMMEDIATELY and POLITELY express your opposition to this unnecessary and discriminatory proposal: www.cityofboston.gov/citycouncil/councillors or you can call 617-635-4500 and ask for your Councilor. This type of crap is so typical in this communistic utopia. Yes, for now, hardware and department stores are exempt from the licensing. Within a short period of time, it is just about guaranteed that an addendum will be added to that ordinance that will require licensing for them as well. Other cities and towns, including my own, may decide to follow. One more step on the slippery slope!
 
It would not be an unexpected end result. However, if you're not fighting, you're dying or dead. We can't allow them to roll over us just because it takes an effort to oppose them and just because the deck is stacked against you.

At least I could go hunting for that. But all these knife / gun restrictions are stupid and illogical. Inanimate objects don't do anything - people who use them improperly are to blame - not the object.

I will be at the hearing. Also, GOAL (Gun owners action league) in MA is all over this and the gun owners here have been alerted.
 
now if only knife rights could solve the NYC issue. but great job in boston! it gives us city folk alot of hope for the future!!
