...The European subforum seems kinda dead, and with the "your fav x" threads flooding the first page I don't think another Euro specific thread would harm anyone... :)

So my countrymen:

1) Do you or have you ever ordered anything from www.brisa.fi? I'm planning to try my hand with kydex and they seem legit. Also, do you know any other domestic sources for knife supplies?

2) Do you happen to know or are YOU someone who mods knives? I'm planning major modding on a large blade and I'm crap with Dremel. I'd hate to ruin the coating or heat treatment. Help me out if you can!

1) I have not ordered Brisa. I've used Terä-asekeskus 8slightly expensive but have best selection of knives, swords and such including some Paul Chen's work, Busse andother high class brands but prices are damn good too ) and Huuto.Net. MidwayFinland is pretty good too.

2) Only person who could have done that was my dad ( he was genious with metal works) but he is dead so no in here too. I know a lot knife peoples in here, professional cooks and such so I could ask around though.

Not personally, but many people on (Czech) "knife.cz" forums claim positive experience with that shop.

I've used Brisa multiple times. Dennis is a very nice guy and has not yet let me down. and he's got a great selection of Enzos.

Puuhari.com is another good reliable source for knife parts.

As to modding, I would guess most puukkosmiths are willing to do mod work. To name a top name I'd go with masterpuukkosmith Pekka Tuominen (puukkopekka.com). He's done numerous works for me but is sometimes a little busy.

I once ordered O1 EnZo trapper from brisa. I asked if it the package could make it to friday, and they sended it with priority without asking them and no extra charges. Left me very impressed.

I've been to Brisa, stopped by there when I was in Pietarsaari. As all have commented, Dennis is a nice guy, we had a good chat about knives and the like while I was there, checking out and buying some supplies. A lot of kit there, bits and pieces for all things imaginable.

As for modding, I do my own work if need be. Quality is enough for my needs and user knives but I wouldn't do it to others' blades. You gets the quality you pays for and I work free for myself. :p

Just bumpin' this to announce that Brisa delivers fast and good. I'll be using them in the future as well.

I have ordered from the States without issue several times. Great blades and service.

Time to move this from General Knife, could go to FEEDBACK but I'm going to put it in Maintenance, Tinkering and Embellishment.

Just looked in on the European forum. Not much happening, but there are no sticky threads. Anything you post will stay up on top for a long time.
