I thought it might be of interest, especially to those who own a Ganga Ram Special, to learn this was the khukuri used to dispatch the goat during the Bishwakarma puja. Sgt. Karka did the honors with one svelt blow. The Sgt. and the Ganga Ram performed flawlessly!
I have pix of the sacrifice but did not take them myself. I took most of the pix but when it was time for the sacrifice of the goat I got busy doing my own Uncle Bill puja for the atma of the animal so Gelbu did the actual photos of the sacrifice. Gelbu is also a Buddhist but he is young and does not have the "feel" that the older folks do. Pala also was busy doing his puja for the goat.
Most of the puja is done before the sacrifice and it is touching. All equipment and tools are blessed, men are blessed, customers are blessed, khukuris are blessed, I was blessed, Pala was blessed, everything under the sun it seemed.
Pala performed the Gorkha blessing and I did an impromptu Uncle Bill American Buddhist blessing of everthing I could think of including the khukuris. I have pix of it all and will post in detail when I return.
