What maddens me is that the police never manage to stop these lunatics. I can't help but wonder how many more people might have been killed if this South Korean guy and the Columbine murderers hadn't have shot themselves when they did.
It also sickens me to think that if Cho Seung-Hui had been taken alive, it would have cost us tax payer millions to prosecute him. He would have probably lived for years, decades, maybe even for the rest of his natural life in jail while his legal battle crept on, while all those poor students were snuffed out by him at such a young age. No doubt organizations like the ACLU would have rallied to his side to protect him from being executed. This even though there is absolutely no doubt he is guilty, and has zero chance of being rehabilitated. Would you want to live next door to this guy if the state released him because some shrink said he was "rehabilitated"? No doubt some really sick women would have become pen-pals with him and proposed marriage.
