Sorry for the late reply. I just got home from a friend's house. The payment was received and I'll ship the Hiker out tomorrow. I'll email you the tracking number sometime in the afternoon. I figured I'd post in this thread since some of the emails don't seem to be coming through properly.

Thank you, I'm excited. What does "bottom K" Hiker mean?

All of my early knives had the K stamped near the bottom, instead of up top like current models. I did a limited run a while back, and stamped them on the bottom. This model is no longer available, so good snag!

That is definitely cool. Thanks for making these knives, seems they are beautiful work horses. I feel an addiction forming.......

In my picture you can see a standard hiker along with one of the ones from the special run (a bottom k in ebony), sad to see the pattern go, it's really a do all woods blade, a guy posted around here not so long a got o say it had been his grail and he'd finally managed to pic one up on the exchange

Those knives are beautiful, and I can see it being a grail knife. My future JK Handmade Knives goals would be: one bigger blade, something over 4.5 inches and under 9 inches; and then I want to get as many smaller fixed blades as my budget will afford. Birthdays, Christmas, etc. Anyway, that's the plan

Heh heh,hooked another one, bwahaha.

Grats on the bottom K Hiker score,I've come to appreciate Ebony lately thanks to protourist.:)

I can & do recommend a Hudson Bay for your bigger blade if John still makes 'em,(It don't hurt to ask)or the Beast or design your own.

Ebony is addictive. There is just nothing that I've found that feels like it, it has a warmth and depth like no other wood.
Welcome to the addiction. It's one of the few that are actually good for you.
