Subject: Interesting fact about SUV and pickup truck drivers

The National Transportation Safety Board recently divulged they had covertly funded a project with the U.S. auto makers for the past five years, whereby the auto makers were installing black box voice recorders in four-wheel drive pickup trucks and SUV's in an effort to determine, in fatal accidents, the circumstances in the last 15 seconds before the crash.

They were surprised to find in 44 of the 50 states the recorded last words
of drivers in 61.2 percent of fatal crashes were, "Oh, CRAP."

Only the states of Oregon, Washington California and Idaho were different, where 89.3 percent of the final words were: "Hold my beer, I'm gonna try somethin'."

"Hold my beer, I'm gonna try somethin'." has worked for me so far, usually takes some pretty fancy driving though!

Me... I just say... "If you can't Dodge it... Ram it!"

I love my truck! :D :D :D

You all may have heard this but from my time in the service I can say its pretty accurate. In most aircrat accidents you will hear one of 2 things on the flight recorder. Either Oh sh*t or a close variation of it or F*ck me or a close variation of it.

They actually mean different things, The Ah sh*t or sh8t means they screwed up. F*uck me means something went wrong either mechanically or was out of their controll. I didn't believe this at first but experience has pretty well borne it out. I would imagine it would be the same in most serious misadventures.

Is this like the famous last words of a redneck: "Hey y'all, watch this!"

Just before every bike crash or close call I just say "ah sh*t"

I just used it on Sunday afternoon as some tourist on a rental bike veered towards me on the Golden Gate Bridge just as I was passing him. Somehow I got through.

Ever since I saw a signature line here that said “why do we call it the tourist season if we can’t shot them” I wanted to have a bike jersey printed up that said that. With them in cars and on bikes it makes San Francisco a dangerous place, and then they go to the wine country and drink their way through the county and then drive back here to their hotels.:barf: :thumbdn:

Jus' drive it like ya stole it an remember, round here, three lefts makes a right!

lol, I've never actually been able to get the "oh" portion in. Just a good old suprised explative.

LMAO, thanks skunk that one brought a tear to my eye.

PM, I don't now where that photos from but if my wife ever gets wise and leaves me I'm going there!
