Ducci, did you ever own this top Mean Streets:grumpy:?

I took one for the team and picked it up as a user so I wouldn't trash the other two. So now I figure Hammy owes me a knife.

Actually it is a great user. A few owners ago it had been sent to BarkRiver for a full convex grind and some of you know that I love full convex and that I also like Bark River Knives. But I do wish that people wouldn't mess with these very nice older designs. It does make me little weak in the stomach to look at it missing nearly all of its choil.

You can tell that Grinducci hasn't touched that puppy yet 'cause it still looks like a knife that will perform knife-like functions!!!!

How does it slice?

Well it is now .187 at the spine where the ricasso ends going towards the tip. I just went and cut up some boxes and it is a smoking slicer.

But this one is going on some backpack trips in 2008:thumbup:

If you want to look at a choil I got a dremel and will return it to you in two weeks. Heck I won't even charge you for the work. Just ship it to me and I'll hook you right up with a choil.

BTW next time you find something that nice, with a little extra ground off the edge, you don't have to take one for the team, just send me the contact info and I'll take it.

Darn that is a nice looking knife even without the choil.

...and Grinducci always seems to leave the choil, while paring away many of the other, more knifeish parts. Psychologically, that may be significant -- but I ain't a psychologist! :D

Nope, not my handy work, but I'll give you $20 for it and make a real knife out of it!
