Hey guys. Just left my job in a shop. Looking for a cordless impact, not off a truck. My current IR 2135 QTiMax is useless where I live now, and I can't have a compressor. So i'm looking at cordless impacts. I found the IR 7150, 1150 max ft lbs, 780 loosening. That's what my air impact is! I also found a W150, 150 ft lbs tightening i believe? I'll be using them for removing wheels, working in the engine bay and maybe around the house also. I've only used a buddies 3/8 IR at work for taking skid plates off and checking air boxes, so i'm not too famaliar with it's capabilities as far as removing wheels. Help! I'm looking for a "does most" gun, i can't go spending a ton of money or buying two guns. And i'm not selling the timax because i may need it in the future. The shop i worked in didn't allow cordless as a primary gun.

That 20v monster should be a good one, although in the past I have been disappointed in all of Ir's cordless tools.
The only cordless gun I've found to reliable take off lug nuts is the snapon ct6850ho, I got mine used for 350.

The guy I work with seems to love his bosch 1/2 impactor.
I use my bluepoint 3/8 cordless impact way more then the 1/2. Whatever it cant handle, Id be better off using a breaker bar anyway.

A 1/2 cordless impact weighs a lot, you wont want to use it for extended amounts of time.

I actually wish i could get my hands on a snap on 3/8 cordless, but i don't know where to get em! I used one of my buddies ones at work and it actually removed the wheel. I like my other buddies IR he has at the other shop i worked at though in terms of use. It felt more comfortable to me than the snap on

+1 for the Snap-On.

I rarely use the air impact now. Cordless does very well on lugnuts and rusty bolts.

Go to the Snap-On website, and check for a local dealer. If you don't have one in your area, you can buy off the website.

I use the Bosch assembling panelized steel wall systems and have no complaints. The average system has 18 joints held by ten 9/16 stainless bolts. It can easily tighten those 180 bolts and then some on a charge. If a bolt galls and siezes, it is capable of breaking the bolt so that I can replace it with a new one. It is a 1/2" drive with 18v lithium ion battery. 500 Ft Lbs of Max Torque.
