My email to you last night bounced. Re-sent it tonight.
Might want to check things out again on your computer.

Make sure you aren't using an address ending in
"@greatbasin.net". Had a glitch and was back on line for several days when I found my email return address had been going out as the latter.

Bro I've had the same problems a few times. I would sure like an updated e-mail list if possible. There's at least 2 that always bounce back.:(

My profile below has the correct address.

Mike, I sent you one message and found was still having problems. Got home and made a change, then forwarded the earlier msg with incorrect address attacherd under the correct one.

Things are making more sense and way too easily. I think that means it's fatigue. Try again in the morning.

When Rusty really wants to be sure I get the message he calls -- or else comes by in person.

Mike, something shoulda flown priority mail this afternoon. Look for it early next week.

PS - going from 64mb ram to 516 mb memory is worthwhile, I guess.

UBI CARITAS ET AMOR DEUS IBI EST or something or other along those lines.

BTW has anyone seen my mind lately? It usually shows up from brunch til it takes off on an early lunch for the rest of the day. Maybe it showed up and I just forgot ( or I wasn't looking close enough ).

So Rusty is the 'pooter' that much faster with the added memory?
I have some people telling me to get more memory now while it's cheap, somewheres around $75.00 for another 128 mgs(?) I think I was told.
My ISP hooks up anywhere from 26,000 to 42,666 with a noticeable difference, but I'm told memory is the key?
I wouldn't mind paying the $75.00 now versus more later!!!!

Yvsa, More memory will help speed things up quite a bit depending on what you do and how much ram/cpu you already have. If you have a say a pentium MMX 200MHz and 128MB ram, upgrading your CPU will help the most. But if you have a Pentium II 400 and 64MB ram, going with more ram is the way to go IMO. I hope this makes sence, some times I start talking Computeries and can get quite technical and carried away.

Oh yeah, and like Uncle said, Shop around. Here is Utah, there are a number of places that have 128MB Dimms for around $30 and 256MB dimms for around $50.

I paid $80 for two 256mb sticks with a mail in rebate of ten for each, but I can only send one in per household. So that makes it $70 for a total of 512mb of memory and it's pc133 memory which I am told will adjust to 66/100/133 automatically.

I don't really notice it now, but when I added it in, the amount wait time to load and then getting stopped and stalled and having to hit the reload button I had to do to get a thread loaded up got cut way down.

Wait til next month Uncle and you can get twice as much at half the price by which time it will be obsolete before they get most bugs out of it.

"you can get twice as much at half the price"

That's the story of my life. I've always had the innate ability to buy at the highest possible price and sell at the lowest possible price.

As my sainted grandfather used to say, "I was born to kiss a poor man's a$$."

If your "sainted grandfather" has the family genes he's still alive and sneaking smokes in the prison hospital.:D

Course nobody ever mentioned my great grandpappy either ( cept during picture days when they let him out of the state hospital in Norman ):D

The sainted grandfather left his body long ago. Dad will be 90 in Feb. He's outlasted all his brothers and sisters -- nine of them -- still smoking a carton a week and eating two eggs and bacon for breakfast every AM.
