Just got an Atwood Basic Prybaby.

The Prybaby is very cool for those tasks that require a screwdriver or the like and one isn't handy. Mr. Atwood sure came up with a very handy tool.

I wasn't too sure about ordering the Prybaby, but now that I have it's way better than the SAK Rambler file I was using before to open cans or when using the tip of a knife isn't recommended.

Just curious what others use the Prybaby for...

Breaking and entering ...

Popped the top off small crates.
Pried the hasp off a carrel door.
Scraping occasional gunk.

Opening bottles. Removing staples. Cleaning/trimming fingernails. Opening shipping cartons. Popping the impenetrable plastic film that enshrouds all consumer goods these days. Scraping stuff.

I used to carry the prybaby on my keyring, but found it just too useful to not have in my toolbox. I use the prybaby for prying nails out of touch-to-reach places or tight-workspaces. EXCELLENT for removing staples from staple gun projects.

Mr. Atwood makes one durable tool. I have taken a hammer to my prybaby more than once to pry a nail out of a floorboard during a recent remodeling project. Prybaby always walks away unscathed.

YMMV.

I have opened bottles, boxes, envelopes, pryed staples, nails and removed screws with my prybaby. Also have a bug out bar, and picked up a Spannerbaby this week to adjust the pivot on a recently acquired Strider AR, it works like a champ!

I just received my order from Peter Atwood, it was a pleasure to deal with him.
The prybabies are so great that I wanted to share some pictures!

The rainbow pattern on the Tibaby is just amazing, this piece will be a safe queen for a while.
The keychain version has immediately found a place on my keyring and the basic version is a gift for a good friend.
Tremendous stuff!!!

Congrats!! The Prybaby IS a very useful tool. I have: a Prybaby, 2 Wedgies, both wrapped in lime green, an area 51 Mini Bug Out Bar, a regular Bug Out Bar, and a tactical whistle. I love his gadgets, and I like supporting someone that I call friend.

Once you put it in your pocket you will never want to leave home without it. It's an incredibly well made, useful tool. Congrats!

been thinking about getting another one so i'd always have one on my keychain

i'd like to pick up something with an edge on it, but they aren't ever "In Stock" when i have looked

Thanks for the answers, indeed they are just great tools, I immediately started using my keichain prybaby by opening an ice cold bottle of coke.
The titanium one is just incredible to manipulate and admire.

I sold off my prybaby. It's well made and all. Peter is a great guy with good designs. But after a number of months with it I decided to sell it as I just never found it useful in my life.

I went to put air in my tires. The filling station air pump hose has a large rubber bumper clamped on the hose to keep it from retracting all the way into the compressor. The bumber has slipped all the way up to the nozzle and is wedged there tightly. I can't get the nozzle on to the valve stems because of the bumper.

PRESTO CHANGO...out comes my Prybaby, jam it into the deep holes surronding the screw head bolts. A couple twists to loosen, pry the two halves of the rubber bumper apart with Prybaby, fill tires.

Of all the things I carry in my pockets and on my belt, I use the Prybaby more than everything but my house and car keys.

Anyone who carries a knife should carry a Prybaby, to prevent using the knife for anything but cutting stuff.

I love my Prybaby. I surely do.

I find the Prybaby a bit too small for me. I opted to get the Bug Out Bar. Now that really allows me to get some leverage! I don't carry it in my pocket but in a BOB I have with me most of the time.
