So I finally got the AMS I scored from the Busse Auction Ganza, satin with white buffalo bone and moasics! Its beautiful. And David Brown was kind enough to donate sheaths with the knives from that ganza. Sheath is amazing and fits like a glove. Couldnt be happier!! I also stripped a cg AMS and a CGFBM a week or so ago. The AMS was almost satin underneath and needed almost no sanding. The CGFBM was a diff story. Im happy with it for now but Ill prob end up sanding a little more...

That custom shop AMS is beautiful!

Did you etch the logos on the two you stripped? Also, what is your sanding process?

They all look great

Ya etched the logos with pcb for 16 hrs. The ams sanding was easy, cgfbm not so much. But basically the process i used was removing the decarb with scotchbright, then 150, 400, 600 grit.

Damn, forgot about that thing. Wonder who ended up with the other knives? Ah well, itwas the kiddies who, scored really.

top drawer, old chap, top drawer!

the high polish on the flats & secondary of the Mistress looks outstanding...

now I'm gonna strip my bruiser AMS

Congratulations on a sweet score.

CBT's look awesome, but man are they a pain to sand and remove decarb from without a scotchbrite wheel. ;)
