First of all, A HugeThank You goes out to all those that participated last week either by actively purchasing a knife or to those who jumped in w/ posts to make the sales thread BLOW UP!

Fiddleback Friday was a blast. Have no fear about "munging" up my Friday sales thread. I encourage it.

For those who missed it on Friday, We decided to have a little fun w/ our Fiddleback Friday sales thread. There was a comment in last weeks Behind The Scenes thread that sparked the idea to auction a knife.

Here were the rules

******Auction Knife*******
-This is a Limited Time Auction.
-Only bids in this thread will be accepted.
-Bids must be turned in before 4pm EST.
-Entries must be received in this thread before 4pm EST timestamp.
-As usual, no editing of posts is allowed.
-The person w/ the highest bid before the time cut off is the winner.

These will remain untouched as they seem to work pretty well w/ no problems. We do reserve the right to alter them at a later date if something arises

Here is the tweek.

We have decided to include a "Gift" to the winner. The amount or size of the gift will be based on the amount over the actual cost of the knife won.

Don't worry Tony you will be the first recipient:thumbup:

I'll leave it up to you to post up whatcha got!

Thanks again to all of ya'll that make this the best place on the internet to hang out.

It was an entertaining read after the fact, I'm sure it was even more fun during.

I like the structure, as long as the knife is something special (this one sure was) I think it would be a cool format to see more of here and there.

Congrats Tony!

Phillip,
Very cool, I like the idea! Other thoughts for change-ups:
1) Procedes go to some type of charity
2) Winner gets input on next awesome knife config

Tony,
Congrats!

Orion,
Careful or they might extend it to Wives of Fiddleheads. Speaking of which, did you pop the Q yet??

EDIT: Caution was really for Jarrett. Question was for Orion. Ooops

Good point, Jerry. In that case I hope they send him a bag of grits and peaches, the official state food of Georgia.

Wow, I take a few hours away from the forum, and now there are gifts, grits, and peaches?

It was a great Friday! Between the forum postings, private messages, and texting I was laughing out loud for well over an hour. My friends who occasionally see me engage in this madness are always commenting on what a remarkable group this is. Phillip, you said it best..this the best place on the internet to hang out.

I'm supposed to be traveling this Friday, but now I'm so damn curious, not to mention anxious to see this Ladyfinger, that I'm going to go nuts trying to get home before Sunday.

And thanks to all of you who've extended congratulations to me. I really feel honored!

Pretty sure the state food is Waffle House. Damn, maybe a gift card to Waffle House...knew I should have paid more attention to this thread. I was too busy dog cussing my WiFi connection for not helping me shark any of the knives I was after.

You know what would be an awesome "gift" if it gets over a certain dollar amount? First choice on one knife on next weeks fiddleback Friday so they don't have to shark ... that could be worth gold

I'm struggling to find words for this one.

The Auction Ladyfinger. Even more beautiful in hand. Absolutely the most beautiful knife I've ever owned. I can't stop looking at it.

And gifts! A second surprise blade in the box! I really like the feel of the wrapped handle a lot. This one has started an argument between my boys already.
And Fiddleback stickers. Phillip. This is why you are so good at what you do. Thank you.

And the greatest treasure. My SpongeBob Gift card for $20,000! With a note that instructs that it is not to be used for Forge credit. I'm headed to my local gun shop to see if they'll let me use it there.

Thank you!

What a stunning knife!....and a 2nd blade....am i jealous?....noooooooooooooo.....
Congrats Tony and the Forge crew is just awesome....

Very Very Cool! Tony, you have several beautiful blades but I agree that this one is special.
