ok, I need to drive a transducer at 70W, 28KHz. I don't know much of anything about amps, but would something with a frequency response up to 30KHz work? Do I need 70W rms, or would a 2 or 4 channel 35 rms work, since I''m only driving one, and less than a minute at a time? the signal generator works on 12-24V, and will go from 20-40KHz.

Um ... do you know what a transducer is? What are you vibrating at a frequency too high for the human ear to hear, and why?

Maybe I'm the only one who's confused, but if you can explain what you're trying to do that might help people figure out how to help you.

it's an ultrasonic transducer. I needed something like the cleaning tanks, but longer, so I thought I'd try to put one together.

You might try a simple home stereo amp. Some of them list a freq. range of up to 30k. Don't know why they would do that, but I've seen it in some specs.
