The hoot-wife and I said "I do" it was her 16th birthday that day.

She's a "gun gal" & enjoys shooting stuff. Helps me reload sometimes, and as long as the bills stay paid, doesn't care what I spend on "hobbies"

No, y'all can't have her! I'm a lucky guy.

Way to go !

Some times that doesn't go well . . . especially around menopause time . . . you think I'm joking don't you ?

Again . . . I'm lifting a glass to you both !

No menopause here, full hysterectomy in her 20's, already done the mood swings and hot flashes stuff.

Congrats hoot! Many, many more years of hobbies, birthdays, and anniversaries to you and Mrs. hoot!

It feels weird in a way, to be at the "silver" anniversary. We are both very young (42 &.41). Not many folks gave us a chance, and often our grown children are mistaken as siblings. I wouldn't change a minute (other than the.financial difficulties, which we've remedied in recent years). We still get looks from people who know the situation, I am convinced they are angry because they were wrong, and everyone knows it.

At any rate, thanks from both of us (the wife asked about my "knife friends" late last night)

Quite the accomplishment and something to be proud of for certain! Congratulations sir!:thumbsup:

That is awesome, married at 16 years of age and still going. If I were to go back in time, I would have married 10-12 years earlier myself. Congrats :)

;) and the worst, especially when it comes to encourage poor decision making around purchases... :D

Fortunately, I make so many poor decisions on my own, one or two more aren't even noticeable

Congrats !

What country are you from where you can get married that young ?

Quite possibly the U.S. That'd be perfectly legal in most states.

Congratulations! An accomplishment you should both be proud of.

When we got married, we travelled to the neighboring state of Tennessee. We live in ALABAMA. In our state, if you are under 18, both of your parents had to sign. My parents were divorced and my mother lived far away.

Both our dads signed for us in Tennessee, where you only needed one parent to sign. About an hour drive time away. We were married by the honorable justice Robert E Lee, Jr, a local probate judge/justice of the peace.
Congrats !

Yes we are in the U.S., young marriage is relatively common in the SE, but not too often, or quite that young.

No, her dad didn't want to sign, but we convinced him.
