Here's my SOG story, my newly acquired kitten, Domino, adopted on the good ole' 4th of July, was playing around with me and suddenly, he managed to get his collar stuck under his jaw in such a way that it was acting almost as a gag. He was thrashing around, trying his hardest to get out of it, and I could tell he was having problems breathing and was clearly freaking out. I couldn't unbuckle it, he was rolling around and was too stressed to sit still, so i took out my edc for the day, my tanto flash II, and cut the thing off. Thanks SOG for helping out me and my terrified kitten :D

I was out in the wild and got hungry. I took my SOG Seal Revolver and went off to hunt some critters. I then carved the meat to throw them on the fire.

...OK Not really...I was at a campground and used my SOG Seal Revolver to turn over the hot dogs so they would cook nice and juicy :D

Thanks for the contest. Heres how my Sog allows me to get into my vehicle everyday.

So awhile back, my door handle broke off as I was trying to open my van door, $#@! now what do I do. I pulled out my EDC Sogzilla slipped it into the door mechanism and pry-ed  yes pry-ed the mechanism forward. The door popped open.:D

Unfortunately I am still using my knife to open my door every time I drive, because I have been so busy at work that I have not had time to fix it yet.

Side force on a knife not a good thing but after a hundred or so openings the Sogzilla has suffered no ill effects. I love this knife I mean my new key:D.

Not the greatest picture.

It was a hot summer afternoon at the end of May 2011, I had been on patrol for just a few hours when I heard over the radio that a Trooper had a possible drug load in an older model pickup truck and needed to see inside the gas tank. I made my way over to his location bringing the scope (a device with a lighted tip and camera that "scopes" gas tanks, engines, etc..) with me. Other Officers arrived including DPS Narcotics, my Sergeant on duty, and the local PD. We checked the gas tank first, nothing. We scope out other parts of the pickup truck and still find nothing. The drivers story continues to change and his timeline of travel to and from places didn't add up. Finally we scope out the engine, bingo, it's a hit.

We all take turns viewing through the electronic scopes camera lens and confirm that there are bundles inside a void in the engine of the pickup. After an hour and a half of sweating outside in the summer heat we were able to pry the front half of the engine open and this is what we found:

After pulling the two bundles out we had to determine what was inside, and that's when my SOG Trident TF-3 came out to play:

Turned out to be two kilos of Cocaine, a large amount that is now going to be destroyed, but unfortunately only a small percent of what makes it through to the street level dealers.

My SOG TF-3 was the only knife on location that was able to puncture the tightly wrapped bundles. The material used to wrap the cocaine is almost like a thick foil with lots of duct tape all over it. The SOG TF-3 works great on the front lines of Highway Interdiction.

Here is my favorite knife in my collection. It is my beloved SOG Gov-Tac!

Before I left to Afghanistan my brother gave me this knife as a going away gift. (damn best gift I have ever received!)

Throughout my stay in Afghanistan I carried this knife religiously either on my belt or on my vest. It always handled each cutting task I threw at it with ease and authority.

A couple of months after my arrival to Afghanistan we were sent out on a "simple" patrol mission. (didn't turn out to be so simple) We were dispatched near the limits of a small local town near base. Our Humvee ended up running over a well hidden IED. The blast made the vehicle flip and roll down a slope with brute force. I was sitting in the back near the step netting that leads to the hatch door for the turret. In the roll my whole body got tangled with the netting making me incapable of escaping the blown vehicle. I immediately drew my Gov Tac from it's sheath and proceeded to cutting. The blade went through the tough netting like a hot laser. I finally cut myself free and saw that my fellow comrade who was driving the Humvee was knocked out cold from the shock and impact. Thankfully the rest of our squad was still conscious and with minor injuries. We all got out of the Humvee and I rush to my friend (who was still unconscious) and use my Gov Tac to cut the seat belt and pull him out of the vehicle. Thankfully the IED was a poorly made one which didn't have such a strong blast as other ones have been noted to have, otherwise we most likely would have lost our lives that day. In the end my friend woke up unharmed and we called for a recon squad to pick us up and bring us back to base.

Even today I still use my Gov Tac. I use it when I'm out hiking and I even use it as my dive knife when I am scuba diving. I have no doubt that I will still be using it in the future due to its outstanding build quality. This knife really has a priceless sentimental value for me. My thanks goes to SOG for making a damn reliable knife.

It was late New Years Eve and I was working at a circus with a very pregnant elephant. Everyone else was drunk or away on holiday. I had drawn the short straw and had already spent many hours with our elephants. I was reading a book when I heard 'Lassie' trumpet her distress! The time had come, Lassie was ready to give birth.... It took a while but the baby eventually emerged, however something was obviously wrong. The baby elephant's umbilical cord had gotten wrapped around it's neck. Moving quickly I pulled out my SOG Tech Bowie and quickly rushed to the rescue! Within moments baby was freed and the mother had him wrapped snugly in her trunk.

Elephants aren't endangered when SOG is around to help.

I'd like to thank everybody at SOG for the awesome items that I recently received in taking part of the August contest :)

I haven't had the chance to take a picture of everything yet mainly because I washed the shirt already and haven't had my wife around to take a pic of me wearing everything (I would have to blur my face for law enforcement reasons :o). The toothlock will make a great utility/beater knife and is very comfortable in hand with a solid - zero blade play lockup. Surprisingly the shirt may be my favorite item as I normally don't get a chance to buy myself "normal" clothes since I'm always working nights and sleeping in the day.

Will edit in pic later.

At first I thought you said you were gonna take pics of your wife wearing the stuff. I though, this guy really gets it.

Wanted to say thanks alot to Chris and SOG for everything I got, awesome stuff, look forward to more contests in the future!
