Hi Y'all,

Finally found a source of bolt-on scales compatible with my standard AuK4.5 (BK-62 handle profile):
Carroll's Custom Scales in black canvas on my AEB-L blade:

Thanks!
I had been using the Ka-Bar micarta scales, but they stopped making them.

Usually I do these in AEB-L, CPM154, or Magnacut to keep it interesting. However, I've done a handful in 1084 and at least one hand-forged from a truck coil spring (unknown alloy, but makes killer blades).

The blade color is straight out of the kiln - the bolt-on scales allow no polishing (faster to finish, cheaper to the customer).
