I'm having a time trying to find some thick AL quench plates. Online metals wants hundreds of dollars.
Any ideas on a source?
 
Paste this into ebay search, or something similar. $70-80 for a set of plates.

Fabrication shops and local metal sellers often have scrap bins you can paw through at a per pound price. Junk yards in a lot of places are still allowed to sell to the public.
