However, I was in New York at the Museum of Natural History when I bumped into these (Or was it the Metropolitan Art Museum? They both have culturally based exhibits.). Please excuse the poor picture quality. I have very unsteady hands; of which cell phone cameras are exceedingly unforgiving.

It does look like the American Museum of Natural History, Hall of Asian Peoples.

Off the main lobby is a hall of Asian mammals, Indian elephants as a centerpiece. Walk through that to reach the Hall of Asian Peoples, the best of the museum's cultural exhibits.

I believe that it's a mix of both. I only had a few hours to digest the entire museum so I went through it much faster than I would have liked.
