I use knives daily at work. My ATS-34 AFCK was used for almost two years, and got touched up once a week whether it needed it or not.
Tried out a CRKT M16 in AUS-6 that a friend gave me for a week or so. Used it for the same stuff, and had to touch it up almost every day. I do like the knife (surprised at how much, actually), but the edge retention just isn't there.
Is your blade bead blasted? Might explain the scratches.

Strange how that works.

But very true....stuff that is easy to sharpen is, with very few even minor exceptions, very easy to unsharpen by using it to cut stuff.

Now I'm trying to think of the exception. The 52100 as heat treated by Rick Dunkerly and other Montanians (word?) holds a good edge and is fairly easy to resharpen. Fine grain structure I believe is the root of that benefit.

LOL! This is a joke, right? Very funny
