I am interested where I can find specifications about steels witch are used in Spyderco knifes.
I overlooked Speyderco comercal site and I didn't find nothing about AUS-6 and advantages and disadvantages of this steel.

Can someone help me ???

For some good steel content charts and other Spydie info, look here:

AUS-6 is without doubt the poorest performer in Spyderco's steel line-up. It is reasonably tough and has very good corrosion resistance, but its ability to hold an edge is very low. Its main advantages are easy sharpening and low cost to manufacture with. I'm really unclear how it ended up in a Spyderco knife. It's more in the league of 440A and 420M used by companies like Gerber, Buck, UC, etc. in their lower models.

Actually I have found 440 A to outperform AUS6 by a large margin. No doubt about it,it is really not worth buying an AUS6 blade.

Bansidthe - interesting conclusion. What type of testing did you do to reach this conclusion?
