AUS-8 Endura II ?

About 2 months ago I received a replacement Endura II from Spyderco.
The one I sent back was AUS-6 steel. The replacement that I got is stamped AUS-8. I thought that Spyderco only used AUS-8 on their FRN handled models.
I was wondering if others out there have a SS handled Endura with an AUS-8 steel blade. Or, is this an error or rarity for this particular model?
 
It should be AUS-6. Either the stamping has a flaw in the "6" so that it looks like an "8", or somehow you have an older AUS-8 Endura blade that we used to make on the FRN model. It's not likely that one blade would be stamped differently in a batch. In eityher case, it is an anomoly.

I too have an Endura II that was giving me problems . As a matter of fact, I recently sent Spyderco an E-mail concerning repairs to the knife but haven't received a reply. Sal,What Gives ?
