aus8m

It's not exactly a misprint, but more of a misunderstanding -- the same steel is called AUS-8 and also called 8M, and lately some advertisers have combined the two names.

Welcome to Bladeforums! You can find some good info on steels in the Knowledge Base -- click on the upper of the two Bladeforums logos at the top left corner of the screen, then on Knowledge Base, then on Knife FAQs.

So, what is the difference between AUS-8 (or AUS-8M), and AUS-8A that Cold Steel uses?
