Saw a reference to this in the latest Tactical Knives (Sept. 2002)-- a small liner lock called the Gnome from Kellam's FinnFolder line (page 52). Anyone know anything more about this steel? AUS 8 is an excellent steel IMHO, judging from my CS Voyagers.

I've heard of this designation before
I suppose it's something in between the 8 and the 10.
Perhaps others here can elaborate? BTTT
