This has nothing to do with INFI....but what the heck!Gundy and Ian may recognize these wines....Black Opal by Wolf Blass Cabernet Sauvignon and Rosemont Estate Grenache/Shiraz.Had a couple of glasses of the Black opal with some pork chops and veggies I had for dinner.A tasty fruity wine with some tanins and spice, not too dry. Then drank the rest of the bottle.Whoo...so...I had the other for another night and said what the hell...opened it and...a really nice friuty wine a bit drier than the other but a bit richer in fruity flavor with less tanins and spice.Really a good wine...My first Chiraz! These are the first wines from Downunder I have tried and must say they are very good!!!Oh and yes....I drank both bottles...time for bed, work tommorow!

Hehehe! Never mind the eye sight as long as you can locate the bottle!:D :p

speaking of good aussie wine, I bought a bottle of Jindalee from Safeway tonight. It's one of their award winning wines and it is fantastic - at 6 quid a bottle, you cant go wrong - very smooth !

My favourite is still Faustino Grand Reserve but its a little more expensive !!

Rosemont Estate is just 20 minutes up the road from me,
In fact there must be a hundred or more vineyards around the area where I live. On the weekends people come from all over the place to go wine tasting. If ever I’m travelling through that country on a Sunday afternoon, I never fail to be careful, everyone coming back from the wine tasting appears to wobbling along the roads.:)

Ian....I hope you sample their wines on occasion.....the one I had last night was a really nice wine....

Tonight its German....Weber Liebfraumilch Rheinhessen.A nice fruiy slightly sweet white wine.Finishes a little dry with some earthy hints....a really nice drinking wine that would go well with any Chinese takeout!!:)

Australian wine is coming into it's own. You can find some high quality wines from Down Under at very reasonable prices. Until Australia establishes itself as a solid wine producer, many vineyards there will be selling their wine at discounted prices trying to drum up interest. If you are into wine, get the deals from the top vineyards while you can, because Australia is the next California in the wine world.
