Spotted last month in Hollywood, Florida: Austin-Healey 3000 MK I BT7 2+2. I didn't talk to the owner, please correct me if I've mistaken the model.

In production March 1959 – March 1961, with 10,825 of the 2+2 model built: 2912 cc inline 6 engine, twin carburetors, front disc brakes. Wire wheels, overdrive gearbox, safety glass windshield, heater, adjustable steering column, detachable hard top and two-tone paint were all available as options.

A BT7 3000 with hardtop and overdrive tested by The Motor magazine in 1960 had a top speed of 115 mph and did 0–60 mph in 11.7 seconds. Fuel consumption was 18.0 mpg-US. The test car cost £1326 including taxes: adjusted with a Real Price Index, that is $44,329 in 2013 US dollars.

I was 12 when these came out and I wanted one. Any drivers here?

I used to collect British sports cars years ago, mostly MG's, and Triumphs, but I always wanted an Austin Healey 3000. They reached their apex in 1967 with the MK III, then the DOT regs got them, and that was the end of that. Absolutely beautiful car. The straight six had guts too.

Six banger Healey - considerable improvement over the little Sprite. When driving was fun !

I drove for a bit a British car which I can't remember the name .Small 2 seater your feet were next to the engine .Very short turning radius ! This was back in the '60s. An uncommon car .Anyone have ideas ?

The closest that I came to that was a '67 MGB, fun car to drive if you don't mind riding down the road on a skateboard.

What a beautiful car. My brother had a MGA and my Dad a MGB. English cars "an adventure in motoring"

My first tour on Okinawa 1961-1964, a friend of mine bought one of these, and i "Rented" from him and drove all around the Northern part of Okinawa. The island is only something like 67 miles long and 15 miles wide (at the widest point) and then there were still a lot of dirt roads up North. The car was all white, top down and it was a good time.
