I will be in Cairns Australia next week and was wondering if anyones of any special precautions I need to take while carrying my Commander or Mach 1?
Thanks
John

Not to sure, haven't had the chance to go. i'm sure one of the others here can give you some insight as to precautions.

John, I hope you enjoy your trip to the best country on the planet. (imho )

The knife laws in NSW and Victoria are a complete archaic mess. Queensland I'm not sure about but I'd be playing it safe if I were you. DO NOT carry the knives using the clip, Keep 'em in the pocket out of site. Their are no restrictions on blade length, but most Leo's I work with and know have no idea on knife laws. Do not give them any ammo by displaying your knives too openly.

The new laws in Victoria were intended for cracking down on Undesirables and not your average law abiding citizens. However, I have no doubt at all that innocent knife enthusiasts will get caught up in it too.

Bottom line: be smart, Be careful.

Cheers

Pete
