Australian knife making sources

Hi everyone.

Just wondering if there are any Australian knife makers that would like to share with me where they source materials for the craft? eg. steel, handle material, pins, sheath stuff, tools, grinders etc.

I'm in a country town all we have is a Bunnings.

Personally , I recycle , car springs and saw blades , nothing flash
I got a cataloge from these guys once

AKC are good to get started off. They have a basic range of stuff.

But if you want to buy a bit of stuff it really is cheaper to buy from the states. Get a list together and add to it for a few weeks. When you do a bigger order the postage isnt that bad and the aussie dollar is good.

heat treat depends on what kind steel you're working with.
Hills heat treat in melbourne can handle anything and at good prices.

me , I do heat treat by primitive methods , I do it by colour in my backyard
