I have had , in the past, requests for links to Australian makers but have not been able to assist.
I have just discovered a site with links to several of our top makers including Maafi (the bloke with the fabulous swords)and Jones as well as a link to the Aus Guild.
If interested,try http://www.unitedbladeworx.com.au/

Moderators : maybe this should be at the "Custom" forum......you decide,

As an aside, I discovered the site as the result of an "out of the blue" visit from maker Steve Filicietti who dropped in because a mutual acquaintance told him I was a knife nut. We have just spent an interesting couple of hours talking blades....he will be back in a day or so with some of his stuff and has offered to let me try my hand at his forge. My ten thumbs are going to be a bit of a handicap, I suspect.

I have been search and searching for site related to makers and knives from Australia and NZ. I have a knife from Bruce Crawley and one from Peter Del Raso. I highly reccomend both. I am very impressed with the knives coming from the makers there. In fact I have been trying to figure out a way to add more to my collection via the net so this links really helps.

Regards,

Tom Carey

Brian, do you know how long this site has been up?
I've never found much in the way of Oz knife web sites, so this is good news.
Looks like we're starting to take the Yanks on - at last

I believe the site is fairly new and that there will be other makers added as time goes by.
You may be interested in Keith Spencer's site
at http://akc.iinet.net.au/

I am sure it will improve as he gets experience with the Web
