Authentic Benchmade Infidel?

I can't find a model no. under the butterfly logo of my infidel but on the other side of the blade there is a U.S. Patent No. and a NSN 1095-01-598-4471. Is this a fake? It was a gift.
 
We would need pics to better assist. Describing the markings alone is not enough to make an accurate assessment.
 
Paying members can directly upload/insert a certain amount of images into threads, otherwise, you’ll need to use an outside imaging host and link it in. I’m not the one to ask for help with that, as I don’t use it, but somebody else might chime in.

You can also check the Tech Support subforum, where there are several threads on the process.
 
That's okay, after filling out the warranty questionnaire it made me curious. I'm sending the knife to Benchmade to get a new clip and have it cleaned/sharpened.

If you haven’t already done so, be sure to read the “Counterfeit Goods Acknowledgment”.

You mentioned that the knife was a gift. According to the above mentioned disclaimer, the knife will not be returned to you if Benchmade finds it to be a counterfeit.
