Authentic? Seal Pup Elite

Just received my latest Sog. Seal Pup Elite satin, plain edge. Very pleased. But I expected to see "Taiwan" printed or etched on the blade (where all my other Sogs say Seki Japan). This model says Seal Pup(tm) Elite big and bold and no logo. I can't find any info on whether the country was always on the blade.
Anybody know? Thanks
 
It sounds like it is legit. We did at one point, for the first couple production runs of the Pup Elite have just the name engraved on the blade. I think at that point we also had a sticker on the knife that indicated the counter of origin. From your description i woudl be will to say that it is legit.
