Hi everyone, I’ve spent a lot of time reading forums, but am just now joining. Glad to finally be a member, this is my happy place :)

First, I apologize but, I haven’t figured out how to add photos yet... that would make this easier. Can I not add photos from my phone? Since I can’t add photos, this will be long.

I recently purchased a second hand Strider bt SS tiger stripe via eBay. It was a great deal on an unused bt, I had to jump on it. I am not super familiar with the different striders as I have only handled the mk1 mod 10 I recently purchased on eBay as well. I know there were different versions of some of their knives (material, thickness, bos stamp, etc). I know they typically have the material stamp with USA underneath on the logo side, but this knife does not. One side has STRIDER (which is slightly larger than the STRIDER on my mk1), and the other side has the strider logo only. Logo looks good, same as the one on the mk1.

It did come with the correct eagle sheath, and it does have some age. It is obvious the knife has been unsheathed a number of times (though the tiger pattern is in great shape, only some smoothing/shine from sheath rub), and the paracord feels like it’s been handled a lot, it is real paracord and is very tight. Basic first impression; it’s a real strider with some age to it. So, I’m HOPING this IS an older version that may not have had the blade material stamp. Were there striders that did not have a material stamp? If so, how do I find out the material (not that important, but I’d like to know my knife).

Sorry for the book, just trying to be descriptive.

Wow, I have searched and searched, and came up empty handed. Pics were always too blurry to tell or had the material markings. That is exactly the markings on mine. Big sigh of relief... it was indeed just a good deal on a good knife. Thank you for sharing that find!
