Authenticity of a Benchmade Mini Griptilian

So I'm interested in trading knives with someone on Reddit. He seems to be trustworthy, but the knife has me worried. It is a Benchmade Mini Griptilian 555HG with a completely blank blade. No markings whatsoever. The rest of the knife and the box seem real enough, but I wanted to see if anyone else had seen a Benchmade with a blank blade.

Handle looks good, can't tell without the blade open though. One thing that could explain the lack of markings is it could have been a black coated blade that was stripped then hit with sandpaper. I would ask the other party about the lack of markings. It looks good otherwise.

I'm pretty sure if you send it in to Benchmade for a blade replacement, they'll some times send it back with a sterile blade(no first hand experience with this so hopefully someone else can confirm/deny that).

It looks legitimate at first glance to me.
