Authorize.net declines my transaction

Trying to renew my Gold; keep getting a -

vBulletin Message

This transaction has been declined. (2)


Any workaround to this???
 
Well, I tried a different credit card...this time it was accepted...

The first card I had tried was a brand-new FCU VISA card, issued just last month, and activated and used [successfully] since then...

So I don't know why it should have been rejected (if it was the card and not something else)... :confused:

I'm not familiar with Authorize.net...Anyone know what the requirements for that institution are???
 
Could just be a harmless prank. If the UPS man drops off ten thousand rubber chickens Tuesday, you'll know there's a problem. :cool:
 
There are three general responses when you run your card -
  1. It goes through
  2. It's declined - lack of money in your account or security views the charge as a fraud risk (it won't tell us the specifics)
  3. It's declined because of incorrect AVS information on your part

Past that we won't know the specific reason on why your card was declined.

I'll keep a close eye on that first card...I don't need no more rubber chickens... :D
 
It may have been declined because the card had not been previously used for anything except local purchases. When a card has never previously been used for online or phone in purchases that can create security issues.
