I have a BM3550 Auto so the blade is under 3" which is legal in RI but keep hearing different things on being legal/not legal to carry a Auto. Does anyone know the Truth if it is legal to carry a Auto under 3". I have read the laws on Packing.org but does not really say anything about Auto's?? I even called the State Police and at first he did not know what a Auto was.. But when I explained he said oh its legal as long as its under 3" But I know someone who talked to 2 different local police depts. And they said it was not legal.. How confusing now I wish I never bought it..

Law makes no mention of "switchblades" or anything like it. All it states is that you can't conceal a knife with a blade greater than 3 inches in length.
