Auto Presidio spring replacement

There are a few guys on my base that had Auto Presidios issued to them in the past. A friend of mine took his apart after using it in the field, and could never get the spring to fit. I told him I'd give it a shot and try to make it work.

Is there anything I should know before attempting this? I've taken Grips apart and cleaned/sharpened them several times for a few guys, but this is my first go with an auto.

Any advice, or pointing me to a thread of a breakdown, would be greatly appreciated.

I can't say for sure that I'm calling it the right name, but if it's similar to the Barrage, you have to make sure you leave out the back bar until after the blade has been inserted. You must rotate the blade back until you hear the spring click into place.

It must be different. Just finished the job. Took a little wiggling, a minor curse or two, but I got it in the end.

Pretty cool knife. I like it. But after dealing with it, I don't think in an 'auto' guy. My Grip opens as fast and closes faster and easier. Much more 'one hand friendly' than the Auto. In all honesty, I don't see too much of an advantage besides the fun factor.
