Auto question

I just got my first auto in a trade from a fellow forumite. It is quite a cool knife and cannot stop from firing it off. I have a question regarding the storage of these knives. Should I be storing it in the open postion or should I keep it closed?

If it's a double action otf, it makes no difference.
On a single action otf, I think you should store it open, and a auto that releases from the side should be stored open.

I always kept all my autos closed when I put them away. I never had any problems.
