A thought popped into my head today, why are there no automatic framelocks. I know automatic means that by pressin the button you release the lock, but if you pressed a button and the blade shot out, and the regular lock disengagment for a framelock was the mechanism, why not? is the design impossible to make or is it just unpopular?

Well, Benchmade just came out with the Subrosa, and it's an assisted opening frame lock.

it is expensive, not impossible.

the vallotons do scale release conversions of many popular knives (sebenzas, emersons, al mars, etc.).
