Well, I was going to get a Buck Strider but found a Microtech Vector that I have fallen in love with. The only problem is that auto knives are illegal in Missouri and now I have a decision. I can get this NIB Vector for 100 dollars and I am really thinking about it. I would carry it and was just wondering if I could possibly go to jail for carrying such a knife or if the police would just take it away? I really want this knife and am willing to risk it being taken from me but unwilling to risk jail, wo would I just get a ticket or would I land in jail? Any of you guys have this same problem?

as long as you dont carry it, and noone else knows about it, i think it should be fine..

if ya carry the knife and a cop catches ya w/it, yes, i would have to say there is a very good possibility of going to jail unless ya are LEO/military. and in TX UCW is fairly serious, i dont think its worth the risk myself, M/A's open about the same w/practice anyway. some of the waved stuff from EKI/or the flipper on the cammilus maxx might be faster, depending on the knife.

if ya just want it for home i would think not, i know in tx there is an exclusion for collectors in the PC.

I started buying auto's in MO because they were legal to sell and poses but thats about as far as it go's , If you carry it and get busted for it you'll go to jail for it .

If you will carry it, don't get it, you are begging to be a criminal if caught.

If you can exercise the control and not carry it but appreciate it for what it is to you, get it.

I have no use for autos myself.

Here is an excerpt from MO laws on posession of a switchblade,

"... a switchblade knife... 2. A person does not commit a
crime under this section if his conduct... (4) Was
incident to displaying the weapon in a public museum or
exhibition; or (5) Was incident to dealing with the
weapon solely as a curio, ornament, or keepsake, or to
using it in a manner reasonably related to a lawful
dramatic performance..."

Well there you go. Whenever you're going to carry it in public, just make sure you're dressed like a Shakespearian actor and all is well. :)

$100 is a great price on a manual or auto Vector. So here is what you do. Buy it then mail it to me and I will send you a Manual. That way, you got a great price and a knife you can carry ;)

I got the MT Auto. I got to thinking...I never break the law, I have never been searched in my entire life and highly doubt that I will. I am now carrying the knife and while I must admit I feel a little nervous, I still think its worth it...its time for me to take a chance in this world.

Kaxter, Kaxter, Kaxter!! If you ever decide to go with the manual version, you let me know :) Leave the risks up to the bad guy ;)
