I have to say, im confused. I was under the impression that Ebay didnt allow automatics to be sold there, and i also had heard that maybe it was OK if the blades were CA legal, under 2". And yet, there are TONS of autos on Ebay, most with full size blades, including lots of Microtechs. So, anybody really know Ebay's policy on autos?

Shhh! It's a secret.

All autos and balisongs on Ebay have a stated blade length of 5cm or less. That's Ebay's restriction - 5cm max blade length.

Now don't tell anyone.

What I've noticed about Ebay is the price of the knife (i.e., bidding amounts) seem to help. I've searched on Autos and when I would go to the less expensive ones I'd find they were removed. Never have I seen a knife withe the bidding above $100 get removed. It's a money thing....

I should introduce you to some of my auctions then. I had 4 auto auctions cancelled, all over $100. Auctions get removed only if they are reported by someone. If no one reports it, it continues. Even if it is reported, it's not always removed

4?? Your lucky they didn't suspend your account

It also helps if you don't post the words, "automatic" or "switchblade", or "auto-opener" etc...

They don't have the manpower to look at every auction, but it's pretty easy to search for key words. That'll do you in.

I guess sometimes ignorance is bliss! I recently purchased, and then sold a MT LCC D/A on ebay, no problem... good I didnt include the forbidden words! perhaps the 3 digits was producing enough revenue to keep it in there
