Today I have available a one of a kind Woodsman Variant made from 5/32" thick 3D Spalted A2 steel with a convex sabergrind. The blade is 7" long and the handle is 5 for a OAL of 12". The handle woods are Osage Orange and East Indian Rosewood. The knife has three liner layers consisting of pinstripe thin orange, natural canvas, and another orange pinstripe, the pins and bullseye tube are natural canvas micarta to match the center liner. $315 shipped for this knife. I have no sheath to fit it.

I did not make a pattern for this knife. It is, and will remain, one of a kind.

Look at this 3D Spalting. I never accomplished spalting on A2 (Or stainless steels) until I learned to do 3D Spalting.

I replied. I'm considering the knife SPF until I hear back from you Malkav. Thank you my friend.

No apology necessary. Glad you got it. According to Dyaln, its pretty damn sweet.

Jeeze o Pete, Andy. I take a couple weeks off and come in to poke around and see that you are making things like...well like that beauty:D You've firmly passed from really good knife maker to artist. Incredible work, bro:)

Yep. I thought this one was pretty awesome. I had my doubts about the longer blade, but once it was finished, I liked it a lot. I'm glad somebody bought it. My money finger was itching and I didn't want to have to beat Andy up for the "friend price". ;)

I am glad I managed to grab this one :) I was lurking on the forum for a while and it will be my first Fiddleback!
It will take some time to arrive in my hands but patience is a virtue I've heard...

I can't wait!!! :D

I just have to add my devalued 2 cents. That is one fantastic looking blade Andy! Something tells me that you will make more of these.

Nope. Didn't even make a pattern. That is going to remain one of a kind.

Wow, that's one of the best looking knives I've seen on this forum....and I've seen a lot!!

Hey guys,

it arrived finally in Europe, my first Fiddleback!

I am absolutely stoked by this one. The quality of Andy's work is just incredible! The handle is really comfy on top of being beautiful with the different liners, the 3D spalting effect gives a lot of character to the blade and I love its shape and of course it is shaving sharp! (my camera is too crappy to capture the work on the edge but it is perfect)

Andy: one question, what do you recommend for the maintenance of the handle?

I took a few pictures to give you an idea, can't wait to go camping with it (I'll have to find leather pants for him though).

Hope you'll like them :D

That thing is awesome! Just soak the handle in Mineral Oil periodically, I believe is the recommended routine for handle care.

You are a wise man. This is a purchase you will not regret.

Mineral Oil is my favorite maintainance product. Drown the handle in it and let it sit for a while then wipe off. Do it more often, have less wood issues. Never do it, expect wood to move even more.

Thanks for the kind words. I love when people are into my product!!!

Is there Maint to be concerned with when it comes to the synthetic scales like my burlap? .... Or did I just ask a stupid question?
