I have a couple of questions regarding Hinderer knives. I realize that XM's are popular, but dealers don't seem to have any in stock. Is the secondary market the only way you can acquire a XM? Or would I have to be a first responder? Do first responders get a discount, or do they get it before the general public? Thanks.

First Responders and Military/Law Enforcement can order direct and receive a 10% discount. For the buying public, it's secondary market, knife shows or one of the dealers (listed on the website).
There are several on the "Buy it Now" website.
Think that about covers it. Great knives, not sure if they are a reason to enlist but for those already in. It's a nice honor.

Additionally, you could also purchase at the annual USN Gathering in Las Vegas, Blade Show in Atlanta, annual California Custom Knife Show, annual New York Custom Knife Show and at the ranch. You are not just getting the most sought-after knife in the world but also an incomparable customer service.

I'm seeing a few XM's on all the knife dealer web sites...crazy prices, but there available

Price for a XM-18 if you win a slot for one of the lotteries at a show, allows you to buy direct for $385...not sure what the price on the XM-24 is though. Somehow I was lucky enough to win a slot at the NYCKS, and took home a gray scaled, XM-18 flipper with the slicer grind. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!
