Avalanche struck Ghandruk

An avalanche hit the village of Ghandruk, the famous tourism destination, in Kaski district on Tuesday. However, there was no immediate report of casuatly or damage. According to a local entrepreneur, Kisam Gurung, a glacier broke down at Annapurna South that triggered a flood in the Kimrung River.

Locals said that there was a landslide near the origin of the river and a suspension bridge was destroyed.
