Avatar and profile pic problems

I was able to create my avatar and profile pic, but I need to lighten the images. I don't have Photoshop here, and I don't have internet access at home. Could someone lighten my images? Enough to recognize what the avatar is? The profile pic isn't that bad, but I'd like to edit it. Thanks in advance.
