Avatar is Gone

For some reason my avatar does not appear in my posts anymore. Any idea what I can do to bring it back ? I need help.

Perhaps my gold member subscription has run out and I need to renew ? How can I find out ?

I just renewed my gold membership. My avatar is back. But it still reads "registered user" beneath my name instead of "gold member". How can I get it to say "gold member"?
