Here is a fantasy knife I came up with recently. It is based on a knife from the movie Avatar. There was little shown in the movie but this is roughly based on the knife the character Jake Sully used after getting separated from his friends by being chased by a huge cat like creature. Basically the concept is a Field Utility Knife for Marines on some distant planet. Kinda funky in style but overall a basic Bowie. This is 14in overall with an 8 5/8in blade. I made it from 1/4in thick 5160 with black G10 scales. The blade is 1 3/4in wide.

I would not want to face anyone lunging at me with that thing lol. Looks cool. Any idea on the weight?

This runs about 20 ounces.

Really liking that blade also, looks very utilitarian. Like the thought of that large lanyard hole, actually would be easy to hang somewhere around camp or the farm. And you could really do some damage with that butt end.
