How do you create or download an avatar? Does it follow you to every forum or do you have to customize it each time?

All you have to do is find a picture you like and resize it if it's too big. You can download pictures from most internet sites by right-clicking on them and selecting "Save Picture As..". You'll need to upload an avatar for each forum you join (not for sub-forums within BF, but if you were to join another forum such as ramanon.com) The thing about BF is that you have to be a paying member to have an avatar, or at least you did last I knew. Some members who have been around for more than four years or so got their old avatars 'grandfathered' in during the switch, but newbies have to pay to get one. Hope this helps.

Ask nicely and there are those...*hint, hint*...that will help you get a custom avatar.

I believe you need to be a basic member to have avatar priviledges, though....(can't remember)

At the top of each page here, you will see a link that contains all the information needed, for example:

Basic Member
Bare bones membership that allows avatars, signatures, limited attachments and private messaging. Does not allow selling in Exchange area.

The Basic level allows a 50x50 sized avatar. For a big cool 120x120 you need a gold or above level.
