I'm hoping to see this one Friday or Saturday. I've heard good things about it so far, and being one of the top money makers EVER is always a good indicator :D.

I've seen it a few days ago.
Disclaimer: I was never a fan of Marvel (or DC) comics, and I don't know enough to tell how distant the characters and story are from the actual comic series. :rolleyes:
This said, it's a very enjoyable movie. Very well made (action and visual effects), and with a very funny and continuous joke/quarrel between Chris Evans (as Captain America) and Robert Downey Jr (as Ironman). The latter pulls out a bunch of awesome quotes and jokes too.
No wonder if you like it too.

Being written and directed by Joss Whedon is a good indicator too. I have high hopes for this one, although I probably won't see it until it's on DVD.
 
I am not a big fan of comics, but I saw this yesterday and it is a well made fast moving movie with plenty of good actors and a healthy undercurrent of humor. Just what you would want and expect for good summer movie.

I really liked it, lots of action, and lots of laughs, mostly from Ironman's sarcastic humor (or something like referring to Hawk as Legolas) Although the funniest part I thought, was an "interaction" between the Hulk and Loki towards the end.

I agree and I still bust out laughing when I remember that part. I was glad to have gone early afternoon on Friday before the weekend crowds started lining up. I think that all the hype surrounding this movie is definitely well deserved and the underlying humor is the best part besides all the action, of course.
 
Good movie , and I agree on the Hulk & Loki "interaction" .

I saw it last night, and it is the best superhero movie I've ever seen. Yep, better than Dark Knight. Lots of humor, no lag in the movie, interaction between the characters was great. Each character got enough screen time to establish themselves.

I can only hope that Dark Knight Rises, and the Wolverine sequel whenever it comes out, are on the same level as this movie.
 
I can't wait to see it. Hopefully this weekend. I was a huge comic book nerd when I was young and I definately was a Marvel, not D.C. fan. I have seen all the lead up movies and they were all pretty good to really good. The best thing about it being a hit is that it means more comic book movies. The only down side is that I'd really like to see it on the IMAX but there isn't one near me.

It was a great movie. I saw it a couple days ago. I follow some of the comics, but mainly DC, so I wasn't real sure what to expect. (I only saw Iron Man and Iron Man 2 previously, not Thor or Captain America)
 
I can't wait to see a Hulk and Loki GIF, going to watch it for hours. :)

I guess R D junior ad libbed a lot of his funny lines, and the secret bonus scene was his idea.
 
I think the funniest gag was when Hulk "smashed" Thor, during a lull in the fighting of the aliens.

good flick - and you definitely want to sit through ALL of the credits.
also interested to see where they go with the bad guy cameo early in the credits.
 
best line for me
Loki : ... I have an army...
Tony Stark : ... We have a Hulk..

Then comes the mentioned scene of Hulk "vs" Loki
 
We saw it yesterday... Great stuff. We (the wife and I ) are both comics fans from way back and have preferred the Marvel line. Joss Wheadon did a good job of directing this one; nice mix of conflict, humor, action, and effects.
I too liked the "puny god" scene with the Hulk and Loki.
The flying aircraft carrier was pretty cool too....
